This Turtle Dove is apparently "Turring", hence it's throat is puffed out.  It was seen at Calvert Lake, which is one of the regular sites for this declining species to be seen in the county.

This Turtle Dove frequented the garden of Richard Birch for several days in May.  Richard kindly invited birders to have a look at what is an increasingly scarce bird in the county.  Paul Keene managed to get this excellent photo of this attractive summer visitor.
