Bar-headed Goose Anser indicus
Little Marlow GP - 21st May 2002
Not exactly on the British list - yet! Bar-headed Geese have been regular at Little Marlow for a few years. They probably bred in 2001 and here is the proof that they bred in 2002. On the 18th May there were four goslings. This species certainly seems to know how to survive in this country. Just how long will it be before it follows in the footsteps of Canada and Egyptian Geese and be accepted as a wild bird in the UK?
