This individual was seen on the return lake at Dorney Lake along with two Temminck's Stints.

This individual is resting on
a "sausage", the local nickname for the rafts of herbage which are used to
reduce blue-green algae. Rather amusingly a report in the Email group saying that the
"Sanderling was feeding on sausages" was repeated by one of the national bird
information services!
